The Foss Waterway Seaport’s goal is to expand the Working Waterfront Maritime Museum over the next five years (starting in 2005), by replacing a dilapidated wharf, saving and upgrading the historic building which houses the Museum, creating almost 1/3 of a nautical mile of docks and floats for community boating and recreation on the waterfront and also allocates more than an acre of open space for hosting community events and festivals.
