The area to the southeast of both Browns & Dash Points, which boarders along the Pierce & King county boundary line, is mainly a housing development which was built between the 1960s to 1990s. Thus, unfortunately, there is little history connected with this area.

The main arterial which links the upper hills of Browns & Dash Pts. is Browns Point Blvd. that zig-zags in a northwest/southeasterly direction along the bluffs which overlooks the tideflats and Commencement Bay to the south.

The Northshore Golf Course, which lies in the small valley that runs from Crescent Heights on the southern end and Campus Parkway on the northern end, is the northeastern most portion of this area. To the east of the golf course are a gas station, a Walgreen’s Drugs, several newly built businesses (Starbucks and a Daycare Center to name a few) and a QFC grocery store and medical center just to the south of these businesses.

At the southern most end of NE Tacoma is the NE Tacoma Elementary school, as well as another gas station which is situated at the top of Norpoint Blvd. which drops from the upper bluff of this neighborhood down into the industrial area of the tideflats which separate Tacoma from this area across the bay.
